ІІІ Lviv International Economic Forum

In the ІІІ Lviv International Economic Forum took part:

  • 547 representatives of 17 countries,
  • Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine,
  • Delegation of the European Union to Poland,
  • Delegation of Ministry of Overseas Development of UK.

International Organisations:

  • Polish Ukrainian Cooperation Foundation (PAUCI),
  • TACIS and Phare programmes,
  • USAID,
  • international associations ‘Carpathian Euroregion’, euroregion ‘Bug’

First Deputy Minister of Economy and European Integration of Ukraine Volodymyr Pershyn, Deputy Minister of Environment and Natural Resources of Ukraine Zenoviy Karman participated in the III Lviv International Economic Forum.

Ukraine was presented by official delegations from 21 region and the city of Kyiv. The delegations from Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Italy, Germany and China were the most numerous.

The Forum’s Agenda was much diversified. Apart of the plenary sessions, the numerous supporting events were held. Among those:

  • 2 international conferences
  • 5 away workshop sessions,
  • Investment Fair,
  • Forum of partnership.

Many working meetings between the regional leaders of foreign countries.

During the Investment Fair more then 200 investment projects worth of 500 million of US dollars were presented.

The forum had its positive influence on the regional social economic development. During the first 2 days of the Fair 25 bilateral contracts were signed.

During the Forum the participants signed:

  • 5 inter regional agreements ,
  • Memorandum of Intent concerning the construction of the concession highway Lviv – Krakowets. Estimated investment value of the project was 300 million of US dollars,
  • 2 agreements concerning the investment cooperation in the field of hotel and tourism business in Truskavets worth of 31 million of US dollars.
  • Memorandum on ’The Cooperation in the Energy Management of Budgetary Institutions. ,
  • Agreements on ‘Small scale Energetic Development in the Carpathian Region’, launching the biological energy production.
